American Revolution History in Paris – Walks and Talks 2026
This year we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Due to the strategic support of France during the American Revolution, I’ll be doing presentations and walks in Paris – in June and in November. If you are interested in attending, please email or call 828-545-3179.

Learn the backstory of the American Revolution as it took place in the streets, parks, avenues, and hidden courtyards of Paris. The 4 lectures are based on the book Paris: Birthplace of the U.S.A. Through Powerpoint presentations and photos of Paris locations we will visit almost 23 statues/buildings/markers, etc. that have direct ties to French involvement in the American Revolution.
The walks get us out on the streets to physically visit some of the locations mentioned above. Each of the 3 walks is in a different neighborhood where we can visit places that are within walking distance. From gorgeous statues of LaFayette, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, etc, to buildings where important alliances were signed or false companies passed along
funds to support the colonists’s insurrection against England, we’ll learn about the ways our American-French alliance enabled the success of the American Revolution.
I’ve been presenting these programs in Paris since 2013. They are based on information from the book shown above. I do presentations in the USA as well … see more information on the “Programs About Paris” page.
